Update on girls involved in head-on accident

UPDATE — Thursday, April 6th, 2017 5:30 p.m.

ANN ARBOR, MICH. — A little girl involved in a two-vehicle accident last month in Baraga County has lost the ability to use her legs. That’s according to a public Facebook post this afternoon by her father.

There’s a benefit planned for the girls Saturday at Marquette Mountain from 7:00-11:00 p.m. Five dollars at the door gets you into the event with a chance to win prizes, music and snacks.

Ryan Thomas and his two daughters, Peyton, 7, and Scarlett, 5, were involved in a head-on accident in early March.

Peyton suffered a spinal cord injury. Peyton and Scarlett are both recovering from the accident at the University of Michigan.
