Man arrested on marijuana charge

MARQUETTE — A 25-year-old man is facing a felony drug charge after police found marijuana in his possession.

David Alex Pitawanakwat of Marquette is charged with one count of possession with intent to deliver marijuana. The Marquette Police Department executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence on Friday.

Possession with intent to deliver marijuana is a felony charge that carries a maximum penalty of up to four years in prison and/or a $20,000 fine. Pitawanakwat was lodged at the Marquette County Jail on 10% of a $5,000 bond, which he posted at the time of his arrest.
