ISHPEMING — One local tavern has made some recent headlines for their exceptional Bloody Marys, but now the focus is on their big step into the music scene.

Brogie’s Tavern in Ishpeming has some multi-platinum performers visiting the bar in the near future. Kip Winger, previously in the band Winger and a member of Alice Cooper’s band will performed Saturday at the tavern. The Michigan native, Brian Vander Ark who was the lead singer of Verve Pipe will be performing on April 8th.

Having these performers visit Ishpeming gives the large music fan base in the area, a chance to see these acclaimed musicians at a local setting.

“As far as I know, we haven’t had a Grammy nominee play in Ishpeming and Kip Winger was up for a Grammy this year, that is pretty neat. I don’t think it’s up to Anatomy of Murder level yet but if we can get some more famous people in here, just to up that factor, that would be nice,” said Brogie’s Tavern Owner, Matt DeWitt.

The show on Saturday was sold out but tickets are still available for Brian Vander Ark. If you are interested in tickets, you can stop by Brogie’s Tavern or contact their Facebook page with any questions.
