Sadowski re-trial on way

MARQUETTE — The re-trial of a man convicted of multiple felony counts, including torture and solicitation of murder, started today in Marquette County Circuit Court.

Jason Sadowski, 45, is getting another trial for allegedly holding two women hostage inside an Ishpeming Karate Dojo back in 2013.

Sadowski, and his co-defendant, Charles Cope, both received lengthy prison sentences and both appealed. Copes was denied, but Sadowski was granted a new trial.

Jury selection began Monday afternoon and will run through Tuesday morning. The trial is set to start after jury selection is complete Tuesday.
