U.P. man arrested with 600 lbs. of marijuana in his possession

TUCSON, AZ. — A Marquette County man is in trouble with the law in Arizona after police discovered over 600 lbs. of marijuana in his vehicle last Thursday.

According to ABC affiliate KGUN, David Vanelsacker, 43, of Northland, was arrested by the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale and transportation of marijuana. The marijuana bundles were wrapped with layers of plastic dryer sheets and tar paper.

The drugs were discovered during a traffic stop.
