Accident on U.S. 41 leaves passenger with minor injuries

HUMBOLDT TOWNSHIP — A one vehicle accident caused congested traffic on a busy U.P. road.

Emergency crews responded to a personal injury accident on U.S. 41 near the Junction 95 Bar in Humboldt Township around 2:45 p.m. A small SUV heading west on U.S. 41 suddenly went off the road, hit a snow embankment causing it to go airborne and crashed into trees.

The driver was uninjured and the passenger was taken to UP Health System Marquette for treatment of minor injuries.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Department, Humboldt Township Fire, UP Health System EMS, Champion EMS assisted on the scene.
