ONTONAGON — One dead in rollover accident Sunday night.

Emergency crews responded to an accident around 7:30 p.m. on December 4th. Mandy Kela, 29 of Hancock was driving North bound on U.S. 45 when she lost control of the vehicle, spun 180 degrees and hit a ditch. The vehicle then went into a barrel roll, Kela was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown through the driver’s side window.

The vehicle then rolled over Kela causing her death. Kela was transported to Aspirus Ontonagon for a medical examination. Michigan State Police Calumet Post and Rockland Fire Department assisted on the scene. Speed and alcohol were contributing factors to the accident.
