Man receives prison sentence on lone drug charge

ESCANABA — An Escanaba man will spend the next few years of his life in prison for his involvement with meth.

Jason Brazeau, 34, received a sentence of 2-15 years in prison Monday afternoon in Delta County Circuit Court. Brazeau was one of five people arrested by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team in May on various meth-related charges.

He was scheduled to go to trial earlier this month, but instead Brazeau decided to plead guilty to one count of delivery of an analogue.

He did receive credit for 194 days he’s already spent in jail.
