Home for the Pawlidays

NEGAUNEE — A local non-profit organization is having a furry and cuddly black Friday special that you will not want to miss out on.

The Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter is holding their second annual, “Home for the Pawlidays” event. From black Friday through cyber Monday, all adoption fees are 100% covered by Zappos.com and the Best Friends Animal Society.

From kittens to dogs, all animals will be up for adoption completely free of charge.

“What a great thing to do for Black Friday, get yourself a furry friend and it’s all paid for. For four days, come and see our beautiful animals, you can see them on our website first at UPAWS.org, if you would like to fill out an application, you can download it ahead of time and it’s a great deal,” said UPAWS Community Outreach Coordinator, Ann Brownell.

UPAWS was the only shelter picked in the state of Michigan by the Best Friends Animal Society to have this special deal. Brownell also mentioned that this is a great time to get a furry friend for a loved one this holiday season.
