ISHPEMING — Although it’s beginning to not look a lot like Christmas with the lack of snow in the U.P., one annual Holiday Craft Show didn’t let that stop them from bringing holiday cheer to the area.

The 34th annual Holiday Craft Show kicked off tonight at the Ishpeming Armory. What started out as a number of crafters wanting to sell what they made, it’s now a tradition for more than 30 crafters each year.

From wreaths to homemade chocolate, there is something for any crafter to enjoy.

“A lot of people do painting on glass, like I said jewelry. There’s things for babies, there’s things for Mom and Dad, there’s things for teenagers, you name it and it’s done in almost any medium of crafts that you can do,” said Show Organizer, Liz Waters.

This Holiday Craft Show isn’t just for crafters, but anyone who is looking for gifts for a special someone.

“Get the head start on their Christmas shopping and it’s a good time. Maybe you need some decorations for home, inside or outside or gifts for teachers or family members, good place to get started,” said Waters.

If you didn’t get the chance to stop by for some Holiday shopping tonight, the show will also be open from noon until four tomorrow.
