Annual Clothing Resale to take place Saturday

NEGAUNEE– If you’re looking to pick up some new clothes, you should make a trip to Lakeview Elementary School in Negaunee this weekend.

Over 100 sellers will be selling clothes in the elementary school’s gym as part of the annual Clothing Resale. A portion of the proceeds will go to the sellers and another portion will go to the school. Clothing that is not sold can be donated to the “Shop For Free” sale Sunday evening, where those in need can pick up clothing for free.

“It’s very important to have nice, warm clothing and there’s a lot of jackets, snow pants, boots that come in that are gently used,” said Diane Faust of Volunteer Coordinator of Negaunee Public Schools, “this is a real sale not a rummage sale so they’re in very good condition and to help keep your feet warm and everybody warm for the winter ahead.”

“It gets very cold, a lot of people aren’t as fortunate as most it’s better to share,” said Lynsee Dempsey Negaunee High School National Honor Society.

The sale will be Saturday from nine through 4 P.M. and Sunday from noon through 3 P.M.
