MARQUETTE– Election day is in just 28 days away and you can still make sure your voice is heard this November.

If you haven’t registered to vote yet, it’s not to late to do so. The deadline to register to vote is the end of the day Tuesday October 11th. If you still need to register, you can stop by your County Clerk’s Office or Secretary of States office if you have any questions or concerns.

“The importance is you have a voice, your vote counts, so we want you to take that opportunity to actually go to the polls and vote this general election,” said Marquette County Clerk Linda Talsma, “This is a presidential election so it becomes a very important election as any election is, but this one seems to be very sought after.”

Talsma suggests you also check out Michigan.gov/vote, on this website, you can check the status of your voting registration, see the ballot for November eighth, find your voting location and get information on all the candidates you can choose from. A link to the site can be found here.
