GLADSTONE — Four people were transported to the hospital on Saturday evening after two separate two–vehicle accidents occurred in Gladstone.

Officers from Gladstone Public Safety say they responded to a two–vehicle accident at the intersection of M–35 and North Bluff Street around 5 p.m.

Reports indicated a vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign on North Bluff and struck a vehicle on M–35, causing a roll over. Both drivers were transported to OSF St. Francis Hospital for their injuries.

As the investigation continued at this scene, another two–car accident was reported at the intersection of US–2 and South Hill Road.

That investigation revealed that a vehicle traveling North on US–2 failed to stop at the red light and struck a vehicle traveling through the intersection. Both drivers were also transported to OSF St. Francis Hospital and a citation was issued to a Manistique woman.

Gladstone Volunteer Fire Department, Escanaba Township Fire Department and the Michigan State Police assisted at the scene.
