NEGAUNEE — One of the top theatres in the entire world is getting ready to celebrate its 99th birthday tomorrow night.

The Vista Theatre opened its doors in the City of Negaunee on September 20th, 1926. In order to celebrate the occasion, Vista Theatre Executive Director Andrew ‘Bear’ Tyler and the Peninsula Arts Appreciation Council are hosting a night of history music and food.

There will be performances from the past and present stars of the theatre. Tuesday night’s celebration will be a special night for everyone who’s ever been associated with the theatre.

“It’s always been an integral part of Downtown Negaunee,” said Tyler. “At about 7:30 p.m., we’re going to kick up with a musical show of music that covers the era that this theatres been open from the 1920’s to today and I’ll be emceeing it.”

Doors for the celebration open tomorrow at 6:45 p.m. Tickets for the event are ten dollars each. You can get them at the Vista Theatre Annex.
