MARQUETTE — The City of Marquette and the Downtown Development Authority are looking for a few good ghouls and ghosts.

The Marquette Center for Arts and Culture is holding an open call to performers and volunteer information night for this year’s edition of the annual Halloween Spectacle. For the past four years, the spooky autumn event has featured processions of volunteers entertaining the city with a wide variety of performing arts skills.

“It’s an open theme of Halloween this year. We have ideas and we’re looking for people to fill those ideas, but we’re also looking for people who have their own ideas….We can’t do it without the community. We need a lot of people, we hope to flood the streets with a lot of mini–performances and so we need people to fill little sections and put on little shows.”

Those interested in sharing their acts or talents — or just signing up to volunteer — can stop by Queen City Arts Studio between six and nine p.m. Wednesday night.

The Halloween Spectacle will take place on Saturday, October 29th.
