ESCANABA — The Smoking Chains Disc Golf Club is getting ready for their second annual Monster Bash fundraiser.

This event first kicked off last year when the club wanted to get more people around the community involved with disc golf.
At last year’s Monster Bash, more than one-thousand dollars was raised and donated to the Pioneer Park Disc Golf Course in Escanaba.

This year, all the funds raised will be going to the Educational Development of Disc Golf program and eventually brought to the Delta County school system. Members of the Smoking Chains Disc Golf Club are excited to be able to spread awareness of this exciting sport.

“Me and the rest of the board love everything about helping anybody out with the disc golf so it’s a great sport and we love what we do,” said Smoking Chains Disc Golf Club President, Joshua Nance.

Whether you have played disc golf in the past or not, anyone can register for the event and participate in the activities. The Monster Bash is on October 22nd at the Highland Golf Club in Escanaba, registration begins at 9:30 A.M.
