ESCANABA — A Nahma man arrested by police on marijuana charges received his sentence Wednesday morning in Delta County Circuit Court.

Adam Scheeringa, 40, will spend four months in jail with credit for two days already served. He pleaded guilty to maintaining a drug vehicle back in July.

Scheeringa was arrested by Gladstone Public Safety on June 19th. Officers say Scheeringa had over one and a half pounds of marijuana in the car he was driving.

In addition to his jail sentence, Scheeringa’s drivers license was sanctioned by the court.
