ESCANABA — If you’re looking for fresh baked goods and produce, then there’s a auction you should check out.

The Annual Harvest Auction will be hosted by the Escanaba Salvation Army this September 9th. Beginning at 6:00 p.m., patrons will be able to have dinner for $2.50 and view the available items.

The auction will begin at 7:00 p.m. and proceeds will go to send interns to Salvation Army Officer College and support their local programs.

“It’s a great way to raise money and people have a good time and I’ve also noticed that a lot of stuff will go very cheaply. So I think it would be a great event for the general public to show up and get some gourmet products for cheaper than usual,” said ministry intern Justin Steckbauer.

Organizers say that besides baked goods and produce, you can usually find household items and gift baskets for men, women and children.
