MARQUETTE — A Marquette woman arrested after allegedly leading police on a high speed chase in Ishpeming Township is facing new charges in Marquette County District Court.

Cassie Croschere, 22, has been arraigned on charges of carjacking and third degree fleeing from a police officer. Marquette County Sheriff’s deputies say they were dispatched to School Street earlier this month for report of a drug overdose. Croschere had allegedly fled that scene, and when police located and attempted to stop the vehicle she occupied, she led them on a pursuit through North Lake and onto Westwood Drive, fleeing on foot after finally losing control and stopping the vehicle.

Croschere was already serving time on probation for a previous larceny charge. Her bond has been set at $150,000 cash. She is scheduled to appear for a preliminary exam on September 13th.
