ISHPEMING — If you’ve been feeling thrifty lately or are looking for a bargain, a new store opening in Ishpeming might be what you’re looking for and you’ll be shopping for a good cause, too.

Thrift–Ish had its ribbon cutting ceremony this afternoon on Main Street. The new business is a second–hand store that sells gently used merchandise, but also wants to give back to the community.

Owners say the store is dedicated to helping local animal welfare shelters and are collecting donations and giving a portion of their proceeds to UPAWS

If you do stop by to donate, the owners invite you to look the variety of items they have.

“Anywhere from hardware to toys to house wares to luggage to just about anything you can imagine”

Thrift–Ish is accepting donations of gently used clothing and items.
