Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” is coming to Negaunee’s Vista Theater.

Over 100 talented people auditioned to be a part of the play. In fact, they were so talented – the director had to make a special and rare decision.

“When we did our auditions, our director loved everybody that came out so much that she decided to double-cast every main role,” said Cody Johnson, who plays Prince Eric for the play, “So while we still had to fit into the time frame of a single cast, it made things a little complicated because you have twice as many people, and you have to teach twice as many things to make sure everybody’s on the same page with what they’re doing.”

But incredibly; director, Eliisa Gladwell didn’t see it as a complicated matter whatsoever, “It’s just amazing to see all these people come together. And I didn’t have to do a whole lot of work for this one. They really put the show together themselves. And they know that they need to work together to make it happen, and they did.

The two lead casts will split the weekends of August 11th through the 14th and August 18th through the 21st. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for high school students.
