MARQUETTE — After a three-day trial, a verdict has been reached in the Watermarq vs. Imelda case involving the ‘yellow wall’ in downtown Marquette.

Marquette County Circuit Court Judge Mazzuchi reached a final decision this morning, deciding to allow Imelda to re-side the south side of the building, located at 215 South Front Street, under certain terms and conditions. These terms include providing parking spaces during construction and following specific time limits.

The trial began when the two property owners disagreed on renovations to the building. Today’s decision will allow Imelda to complete the requirements of a grant from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation to renovate the property.
