Woman arrested for OWI after two-car crash

KINGSFORD — One woman was arrested after a two-vehicle collision Sunday afternoon.

Kingsford Public Safety officers say they were dispatched to the accident at the intersection of Carpenter and Woodward Avenues in Kingsford shortly after 3:30 p.m. The driver of one of the vehicles — a 54-year-old Iron Mountain woman — was arrested for operating while intoxicated, third offense.

She was also cited for operating with a restricted driver’s license and failing to yield the right of way. Her name is being withheld pending her arraignment. The woman’s passenger was assisted at the scene for minor injuries.

Kingsford Public Safety was assisted at the scene by the Iron Mountain Police department. One vehicle was towed from the scene by Town and Country Ford.
