ISHPEMING — A 15 year old Ishpeming tradition continues this August.

August 13th marks the 15th annual Buzz the Gut car show and car cruise. The show will be held from five to seven P–M and then followed by a cruise through Ishpeming and Negaunee.

Buzz the Gut is free to the public. Scott Perry is the President of Buzz the Gut incorporated. He says the event has become a tradition for the city that people look forward to.

Perry said, “It’s gotten to be a pretty big deal. People are all excited, the streets are pretty well lined with spectators.” He also said he was very grateful for the support they’ve had. Perry said they “couldn’t do it without them or our sponsors.”

Perry says that despite some speculation, the event will still be held at the Cliffs Shaft Mine Museum.

The car show is also free for people looking to display their vehicle. If you register your car will be eligible for door prizes. You can register in advance by calling Buzz the Gut Incorporated. Registration is also available at the event.
