MARQUETTE — The man who led police on a high speed pursuit earlier this year was sentenced Friday morning in Marquette County Circuit Court.

Twenty year-old Jack Pelto will spend six months behind bars after pleading guilty to one count of fleeing and eluding in the fourth degree.

The Marquette man was one of three people arrested by the Marquette City Police Department in March after a vehicle pursuit that started on US–41 and ended on M–553.

An active meth cook was discovered in the vehicle that Pelto was driving.

He will report to jail next week.
