Child dies in hospital after nearly drowning in lake
ANN ARBOR — An 8-year-old boy who nearly drowned in a lake eight days ago has died.
A family member confirmed with ABC 10 Monday afternoon that 8-year-old Izayah Pedrin of Curtis passed away at the University of Michigan Hospital in downstate Ann Arbor.
Pedrin was swimming in Little Trout Lake in Forsyth Township on Sunday, June 19th, when he nearly drowned. CPR was being administered on Izayah when emergency personnel arrived.
He was taken to U.P. Health System – Marquette and eventually flown to U of M, where he passed away.
