MARQUETTE — ABC 10 has learned that RTI Surgical in Marquette has learned that the company has terminated 10 jobs at its facility.

In an e–mail exchange with RTI, this is what we have received about the job cuts at the facility:

“RTI Surgical is committed to long–term growth and advancing our operations in the Upper Peninsula. Based on changes in production and as a result of our efforts to increase production efficiency, RTI Surgical made a slight reduction in its operational workforce in Marquette, Michigan in June.”

RTI Surgical sells its implants in nearly 50 countries around the world.

The company manufactures and distributes metal and synthetic products in the orthopedics, bio–logics, spine, trauma and cardiothoracic markets.
