MARQUETTE — Most of the year, people race down Marquette Mountain on skis or snowboards. In the summer, the racing is done a touch differently.

The white blanket that typically covers this place is uncovered in the summer. And now, you can see the stunning greenery and dirt paths. Those same paths will be used for a variety of racing events this weekend.

Event board member, Nic Dobbs explained, “This weekend, we have the third annual Trails Festival, brought to you by Range Bank. Looking forward to this weekend. Planning year round for this event. It’s ten race events throughout the three day period. Seven biking events and three running events. Barbeques. Movie premieres on Friday night. Just lots of fun.”

However, the fun cannot be had without volunteers pitching in. For info on how to help out this weekend, visit MarquetteTrailFest.com.
