NORWAY — One Michigan city will be celebrating its one hundred and twenty fifth anniversary.

The town of Norway is having a summer festival to celebrate its quasquicentennial. The festival is a four day long event located at Marion Park. All proceeds made at this event will be donated back to the Parks and Recreation committee to help improve parks throughout the town. At this celebration, there will be a variety of activities for all ages. Some of these include bounce houses, food and drink tents, and even a lumberjack show.

“We are putting it back to the days of the old summer fest that took place in the 90’s, here at Marion Park and it’s a celebration for the community, the county, the U.P., and statewide.”

The event will also have a number of different bands performing, including a Journey tribute band. The festival will be going on from June 30th thru July 3rd. Tickets are now available and if purchased before June 15th, there will be a ten dollar discount.
