Man pleads not guilty to OWI causing serious injury
MARQUETTE — A Gwinn man allegedly responsible for causing serious injury to a woman in a traffic accident last July entered a not guilty plea in Marquette County Circuit Court.
Thirty-one year old Dave Nykanen is charged with multiple felony counts, including operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated causing serious injury.
Nykanen was arrested in April after a six-month long investigation conducted by Forsyth Township Police.
Police say the vehicle Nykanen was driving veered off M-35 and rolled over, ejecting a female passenger. The woman was pinned beneath the car and suffered serious injuries.
No date has been set for his pre-trial conference.
