LANSING — Documents about the oil pipeline running beneath the Straits of Mackinac have been made public.

Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette published those documents provided to the state by Enbridge Energy, LLC regarding the Line Five pipelines today. Schuette had requested the information in mid-March.

He said these documents will provide useful information about the history, operation, and condition of the pipelines, and the information contained within will help implement analyses recommended by the Michigan Petroleum Pipeline Task Force. The documents can be found on the Attorney General’s Petroleum Pipelines web page.
