HOUGHTON — A man accused of leading police on a high–speed motorcycle chase across the Copper Country was arraigned in Houghton County District Court Friday morning.

Thirty–year–old Rudolph Voght is charged with fleeing a police officer in the third degree. That charge is a felony punishable by up to five years in prison.

Voght was arrested Wednesday after leading Michigan State Police on a high speed chase when they attempted to stop him on his motorcycle. The chase began in Houghton and ended just outside of Ontonagon.

He is out on bond and is set to appear again for a preliminary exam on May 27th.
