Hospital visitor restrictions lifted

MARQUETTE COUNTY — This evening U.P. Health System – Marquette and U.P. Health System – Bell announced that the visitor restrictions that were in place since early March are now lifted.

Hospital officials say that the visitor restrictions were due to high numbers of respiratory illness and influenza in the area.

They say the worst of the influenza has passed, so regular visiting hours and visitor criteria are now back in place.
