Fleeing and eluding suspect headed to circuit court

MARQUETTE — A man charged with fleeing from police is headed to the next phase of his court case.

Twenty year–old Jack Pelto has been bound over to circuit court. Pelto was one of three people arrested by the Marquette City Police Department last month after a vehicle pursuit that started on US–41 and ended on M–553.

Police discovered an active meth cook inside the vehicle Pelto was allegedly driving. In addition to a fleeing and eluding charge, Pelto is facing a charge of maintaining a meth lab and driving on a revoked license.

There’s no word yet on his next court date.
