MARQUETTE — It’s almost time for the 2nd annual Two Museums Bartender Challenge Fund–raiser.

During the event, attendees can enjoy some specialty drinks and support the Marquette Regional History Center and the Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum at the same time.

Beginning on Friday, celebrity bartenders will be featuring a signature drink at around a dozen participating restaurants and bars throughout Marquette County. Tip jars will be placed to allow drinkers to support their favorite bartender. Then on April 21st, those drinks will be featured at the children’s museum.

“A person will come in, “said Director of The Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum Nheena Weyer Ittner, “they’ll get a taster of every signature drink. Then after an hour and a half, everyone goes to the history center. At the history center we’re going to have this big stage set up. Then we’re going to give all of these bartenders challenges.”

The challenges include a speed challenge, a mystery box challenge, and more. The proceeds from the event are split between the Marquette Regional History Center and the Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum. The event was incredibly popular last year, raising a total of roughly $10,000.
