Home invasion and assault suspect headed to trial

SAULT STE. MARIE — A Sault Ste. Marie man accused of home invasion and assault is headed to trial.

Twenty-four-year old Jameon Cox is scheduled to face a jury of his peers on April 13th in Chippewa County Circuit Court. Cox is charged with five different counts, including first-degree home invasion and assault by strangulation. He was arrested by the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office on November 1st after an alleged assault that happened on the 6000 block of Mackinac Trail in Sault Ste. Marie

Cox’s trial is scheduled to last three days.
