WAKEFIELD — Police in the western U.P. have located and arrested a man they say pointed a firearm at another person.

On December 2nd, police received a call at 1:00 p.m. from a caller who said another driver was driving recklessly and he had pointed a weapon at them. The caller was able to give police a description of the assailant’s vehicle and license plate.

Later that day, a Michigan State Police trooper identified the suspect’s vehicle in Watersmeet Township. The man was interviewed and evidence was seized.

After their investigation into the incident, police arrested a 62-year-old Donald Henry Klingman of Watersmeet Township Tuesday on two felony counts: one count of felonious assault and one count of possessing a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Klingman is currently lodged at the Ontonagon County Correctional Facility on a $50,000 bond. His preliminary exam is set for December 28th.
