MARQUETTE — A Gwinn woman arrested for allegedly stealing and using a credit card in Marquette was arraigned Thursday morning in Marquette County District Court.

Twenty-year old Whitney Wirkula of Gwinn is charged with two counts of illegal use of a financial transaction device and one count of larceny in a home. Each count is a felony punishable by up to four years in prison.

Wirkula was arrested last month after an investigation into a stolen credit card being used to make purchases at Marquette businesses and on the internet. She is scheduled to appear for a preliminary exam in District Court on December 21st.
