Trial of suspected baby killer pushed back

IRON COUNTY — The trial of an Upper Peninsula woman accused of killing a baby has been pushed back until next year.

Brittany Lyn Russell’s trial is now scheduled to start on Feb. 29, 2016. The 25-year-old’s trial was originally scheduled to begin Dec. 1.

Russell was arrested back in April by the Iron River Police Department in connection with the death of a three–month old baby that died back in June of 2014. She is facing a first–degree murder charge for the death of that infant.
