Woman arrested after stolen credit card investigation

MARQUETTE — One woman is in jail after an investigation into a stolen credit card.

Officers from the Marquette City Police Department say they arrested 20-year-old Whitney Ann Wirkula of Gwinn Wednesday for one count of larceny in a building and two counts of the illegal use or sale of a financial transaction device. The stolen card was allegedly being used at Marquette businesses and to make purchases over the internet.

Wirkula was lodged at the Marquette County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
