ESCANABA — Court is back in session today in Delta County, three days after a security threat shutdown the facility.
According to Delta County Prosecutor Philip Strom, law enforcement was notified of a threat that was posted on social media just before 12 p.m. Friday. The context of the post was enough to shutdown the courthouse for the rest of the day.
The individual believed to be responsible for the post has been taken into custody. That person was then treated by local mental health professionals.
The case is still under investigation.
