MARQUETTE — There are plenty of spooky–fun events coming up this week, some that even support a good cause.

This weekend MooseWood Nature Center is having their sixteenth annual MooseWood Haunted Bog Walk.

People are invited to come and walk the bog and see what could be lurking – or for that matter who…

Board Chair for MooseWood Nature Center Scot Stewart says, “We do I think have some pretty scary things – some fun, scary things, too, though – but I’ve heard rumors there’s a guy wandering around with a chainsaw, so it may get kind of scary.”

This is their biggest fundraiser of the year. Funds will help support their current renovations and future plans.

“Right now we’re in the process of developing a whole new set of school programs that will bring classrooms out here for field trips to do hiking,” Stewart added, “and have lessons inside here that would coincide with our curriculum. So this is a really important fundraiser for us.”

The event runs tonight and tomorrow from 7:30 to 11. Tickets for adults are $7, and kids 11 and younger are only $5. There will also be concessions available.
