SAULT STE. MARIE — Two men have been arrested on drug charges in Sault Ste. Marie.

Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team detectives arrested a forty–four year old man and forty nine year old man from downstate for distribution of cocaine and possession of marijuana. The forty–nine year old was identified as an illegal immigrant from Albania wanted on a federal deportation order.

Detectives executed search warrants at a hotel room in the Sault and seized over fifteen grams of cocaine, marijuana, and $500.

Both suspects were lodged at the Chippewa County Jail. Their names are not being released at this time.
