Police Dept. raises funds to get K-9 unit
IRON MOUNTAIN — The Iron Mountain Police Department is in the process of adding a K-9 unit to the department.
The police department set a minimum goal to raise $25,000 to get a K-9 program started. Dave and Clair Pasahow donated a check for $2,500 in memory of their son, Michael. The Pasahow family said they would make the donation once $22,500 was raised for the program.
The department’s new dog, Falcon, will join the force in early December.
