$1 million renovation project welcomes specialized training staff

HANCOCK — The public is invited to an open house for Finlandia University’s recently renovated athletic center.

Following a $1 million dollar renovation project, Finlandia University is inviting the public to take part in their grand opening celebration and open house Wednesday. The public got its first look at the center earlier this year, but the center is now launching group fitness classes and personal training programs with a specialized training staff.

Finlandia University Strength and Conditioning Coach Josh Drew said, “More importantly, we are able to cater to all individuals, so not just the healthy. We want to impact the people that really need it, might be coming back from an injury, or may not have worked out for quite some time and just need that guidance to make sure that they’re safe.”

With all of the help available…you don’t need to already be in tip top shape to get started.

Drew said, “You don’t have to be an elite athlete or an athlete at all to enjoy the benefits of this new facility.”

The open house runs from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
