Additional newscast coming to ABC 10

ISHPEMING — Starting Monday, Sept. 14, WBUP (ABC 10) is adding a 6:00 p.m. newscast to the lineup Monday-Friday.

“We’re really excited about the addition of our 6:00 p.m. newscast,” said ABC 10 news director Jerry Taylor. “Adding another half hour of news will allow our viewers another opportunity to get the latest local news, weather, and sports happenings here in the Upper Peninsula.”

ABC 10 will continue to have a newscast at 5:30 p.m.

“We will be the only television station in the Upper Peninsula to have a straight hour of news in the evening,” said ABC 10 operations manager Kenn Baynard.

Beginning next week, ABC 10 will air newscasts at 6:30 a.m., 5:30 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 11:00 p.m.  You can also catch the latest news, sports, and weather headlines at 10:00 p.m. on WBKP, known as CW-5 News Primetime.
