GUANGZHOU, China — Food and agriculture exports are topics being talked about during Governor Rick Snyder’s current trip to China.

Governor Snyder has been accompanied by the Director of the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on this trade mission. Discussions held with trade officials focus on finding long-term, new market opportunities for Michigan’s food and agriculture companies with emphasis on e-commerce and dairy product opportunities.

The Governor’s Office said Michigan exports of food and agriculture products totaled over $62 million in 2014, up forty percent from 2010.
