Gwinn woman enters ‘no contest’ plea at hearing

MARQUETTE — A 20–year–old Gwinn women entered a ‘no contest’ plea Friday in Marquette County Circuit Court.

Joelene Johnson entered the plea to one count of Larceny in a Building, which is a 4-year felony. Johnson was arrested March 18th by Forsyth Township Police for allegedly stealing money from an elderly couple she was working for. According to Marquette County Prosecutor Matt Wiese, Johnson stole more than $11,000 from the couple.

She will be sentenced on September 18th.
