Meth components found during camp break-in investigation
FORSYTH TOWNSHIP — Investigations into several camp break-ins in Forsyth Township led to the discovery of meth components Tuesday evening.
Forsyth Township Police say they executed a search warrant at 2105 Northwestern Lake Trail around 6:00 p.m. in connection to a string of breaking and entering incidents at area camps that happened during the summer. Many of those incidents happened over this past weekend on County Road EFA.
During the search, police found property that had been reported stolen in several of those cases. Meth components were also discovered on the property, resulting in police obtaining another search warrant for meth components and meth-making byproducts. Officers say they spent over four hours searching multiple buildings and vehicles found on the property.
No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team, Marquette County Sheriff’s Department, Michigan State Police, and the Marquette City Police K-9 Unit were also involved in the investigation.
