NAHMA — Three overdue boaters were safely brought to shore last night in Delta County.

Deputies from the Delta County Sheriff’s Department say they were dispatched to the Nahma area shortly before 7:30 p.m. It was reported that a boat carrying three people had been spotted adrift in the Gooley Bay area of the Garden Peninsula.

The boaters were located after the Sheriff’s Marine Patrol and the Department of Natural Resources searched the area. The boaters were safely brought in, and no injuries were reported.

The Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the DNR, Delta County Search and Rescue, and Tri-Star EMS.
